SensorTech force sensors, thin membrane switches, and load cells use conductive polymer sensors rather than strain gauges. As a result our sensors are uniquely durable and formable. Overload protection is typically 5 to 10X full scale and we can pass IP69K environmental protection requirements. We can make load cells much smaller than strain gauge based products and we can customize sensor housings and foot-prints more easily. Range of measurement is wider and typically more accurate at low loads in comparison to strain gauges.
SensorTech Pressure Mapping Sensors measure multipoint pressure distributions in 2D or 3D surfaces. Our conductive polymer sensors can be flexed, thermoformed, machined or molded. Our Pressure Mapping Sensors are uniquely durable and resistant to environmental exposure. Response time and resolution are variable to the number of measurement points.
